Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or BPPV

Does looking up, nodding your head side ways or looking underneath your body make you feel nauseous? Does rolling over in bed make you dizzy? If you experience any of this and they last about 30 seconds, you may have Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, BPPV.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is a disorder caused by loose crystals in your inner ear. It can be caused by a recent head trauma or injury, being in a car accident or falling.

BPPV usually resolves in 1 to 3 visits.  You will be taught how to treat your symptoms at home, independently with 1 or 2  follow up visits if the symptoms do not resolve completely.
